中文摘要: 光学双稳态效应是实现集成光学中全光开关的有效方式之一,全光开关对双稳态效应提出低功耗、低泵浦阈值、高效率和易于操控等要求。目前具有双稳态效应的固体激光器的泵浦阈值在瓦量级,不能直接应用于全光开关。本项目拟在具有光学双稳态效应的掺Yb离子钒酸盐晶体中采用飞秒激光直写技术引入低损耗光波导结构,着重研究波导结构与双稳态效应之间的关系;以该波导作为增益介质,探索具有双稳态效应的波导激光器实现低泵浦阈值、高斜率效率和低功耗所对应的波导和激光谐振腔结构的最佳条件;揭示波导激光器光学双稳态效应增强的方法和机理。进而实现掺Yb钒酸盐晶体波导激光器光学双稳态效应具有低功耗、低泵浦阈值、高效率和集成化的特点。本研究对最终研制能耗低、操控方便、可直接应用于集成光学的双稳态波导激光器具有重要的科学意义。

英文摘要: Optical bistability is one of the effective means for all-optical switch in integrated photonics, which should have low pump threshold, low power consume, high slope efficiency and easy control. Because the pump power threshold of the existing optical bistibility is on the scale of watter, the application of diode-pumped Yb-doped vandates laser to integrated optics is limited. The low-loss waveguide structure is introduced in Yb-doped vandate crystals with optical bistability by using ultrashort pulse direct laser writing.Relation between the structre of waveguide and optical stability is researched. Secondly, the waveguide laser in Yb-doped vandate crystals will be realized through optimization of resonant cavity with low pumped threshold and high laser slope efficiencies. Finally, the optical bistability in waveguide laser based on Yb-doped vandate crystals will be studied in detail and the mechanism of enhanced optical bistability is also researched. The optical stability of waveguide laser of Yb-doped vandate will be realized with the characteristic of low power consume, low pump threshold, high slope efficiency and excellent integration.The research shows important scientific significance for developing passive waveguide laser with optical bistability.
