• Sufficient Accessories & Peers. The lab is equipped with sufficient computation resources, adjustable desks and VR headset. We encourage you to create and define unique presentation and practical use for your research outcomes. We will organize weekly meeting and reading for sharing novel ideas and cutting-edge papers.

• Competitive Pay. The salary is in accordance with the university regulations for academic personnel. PhD scholarship is around AUD$27000 per annum (non-taxable, 2018 rate, indexed annually) based on a full-time research. Tuition fee will be waived providing that a full scholarship is successfully awarded. Postdoc salary will be AUD$64000 per annum.

Requirements

• The project focuses on computer vision, multimedia retrieval and social data analytics. Applicants should hold a PhD/Master/Bachelor degree in computer science, applied mathematics or computer engineering (or equivalent). 

• Project experience and publications in related area (CVPR/ICCV/ECCV/IJCAI/PAMI/WWW/SIGIR/WSDM/SIGMOD/ICDE, etc.) is a plus, but more importantly, solid mathematical and programming skills (Python, C++) are required. 

• Highly motivated and honest.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
