ACM Interactive Surfaces and Spaces (ACM ISS 2019) is the premier venue for research in the design, development and use of new and emerging interactive surface technologies and interactive spaces.
ACM ISS 2019 welcomes original, high-quality research and industry contributions that advance the state-of-the-art in the area of interactive surfaces, interactive spaces and novel interface technologies. Beyond the traditional scope of the conference – i.e., interactive tabletops, large displays, multi-display systems, mobile and mini devices – we also encourage contributions focused on the use of space and technology around us to bridge the gap between our digital and everyday lives, such as interactive 3D spaces, on-body sensors, interactive art or interactive architecture. We also encourage contributions focused on understanding individual and group needs related to interactive surfaces and interactive spaces, and the impact on individuals and groups of these technologies. We embrace innovations in a wide variety of areas including design, software, hardware, understanding of use, and applications or deployments of such interactive systems.
The conference welcomes contributions on a wide range of topics relating to interactive surfaces and spaces as well as novel interface technologies, including (but not limited to):
Real-world applications of interactive surfaces and/or spaces in specific domains (public spaces, education, science, business, entertainment, health, art, homes, etc.)

This symposium focuses on research topics related to efficient algorithms and data structures for discrete problems. In addition to the design of such methods and structures, the scope also includes their use, performance analysis, and the mathematical problems related to their development or limitations. Performance analyses may be analytical or experimental and may address worst-case or expected-case performance. Studies can be theoretical or based on data sets that have arisen in practice and may address methodological issues involved in performance analysis.
Algorithm Engineering and Experiments (ALENEX20), Symposium on Simplicity in Algorithms (SOSA20), and SIAM-ACM Symposium on Algorithmic Principles of Computer Science (APOCS20) will take place at the same location.
SODA is jointly sponsored by the SIAM Activity Group on Discrete Mathematics and the ACM Special Interest Group on Algorithms and Computation Theory.

The ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems is the premier international conference of Human-Computer Interaction. CHI – pronounced ‘kai’ – is a place where researchers and practitioners gather from across the world to discuss the latest in interactive technology. We are a multicultural community from highly diverse backgrounds who together investigate and design new and creative ways for people to interact using technology.
CHI will, for the first time, take place in beautiful Honolulu, on the island of Oahu, Hawaiʻi, USA.
CHI Papers are archival publications of original research in the field of Human Computer Interaction (HCI).
Important Changes
Submission format: Please use the appropriate template, available for both LaTeX and Word (Windows and Mac). Note that for CHI 2020, we are returning to a slight variant of the template from CHI 2018 due to the many problems with the template used for CHI 2019.
Subcommittees: Every year, the makeup of subcommittees changes as the field shifts and volumes of submissions change: some earlier committees have either had a reduction in scope, while others have expanded. Please carefully review the CFP and linked documents to ensure you select up to two appropriate subcommittees for your submission.
Presentation length: at the conference, presentations of accepted papers will be 15 minutes in duration, including question time.

Requirements Engineering (RE) is an important activity in the development of high-quality software, systems and services. The REFSQ working conference series is a well-established, leading, international forum for publishing and discussing current and state-of-the-art RE practices, now celebrating its 26th edition. We are excited to hold REFSQ’20 in Pisa, Italy, for the first time!
REFSQ has a long tradition of being a highly structured and interactive event. Each session is organized to emphasize discussion among the presenters of papers, pre-assigned discussants, and all the other participants. The REFSQ’20 program will include keynote speakers, technical papers, research previews, industrial presentations, live studies, as well as posters and tools. Workshops and the REFSQ doctoral symposium will be co-located with the main conference.
REFSQ’20 seeks contributions describing novel ideas and techniques that: enhance the quality of RE artefacts, products and processes; reflect on current research and industrial RE practices; and provide new views on RE. We invite submissions on any aspect of RE and encourage researchers and practitioners from the RE, software engineering, information systems, service science, embedded systems, and product management fields to present original work. Contributions from complementary fields, such as systems engineering, economics, management, social sciences providing new insights into RE, are particularly welcome.
The special theme of REFSQ’20 is “RE and Cyber-Physical Systems” to emphasize the role that RE can play in the design of the next generation of systems where people, and physical and software components interact in many different ways.
