中文摘要: 汉字书写质量评测是计算机辅助汉字书写教学的重要应用,该技术是汉字教学、字形计算、模式识别等领域尚未很好解决的重点难题之一。汉字书写质量评测与汉字识别在根本任务、对象、方法上有本质不同。现有研究成果不能让学习者在无人值守的情况下完成汉字书写质量的自动评测和意见反馈。本项目利用手写输入设备采集包括书写过程在内的手写汉字信息,以汉字教学中的标准汉字和手写汉字为研究对象,对汉字书写的正确性和美观性评测进行基础理论和应用研究。主要内容包括:面向汉字书写质量评测的汉字字形形式化描述方法及汉字特征提取方法;与汉字书写质量评测相关的一系列自动化算法;以及汉字书写质量评测结果的可视化反馈技术等。本项目旨在通过对汉字书写的细节特征和宏观特征的全面、自动评测,来改进目前传统的汉字书写教学方法,为HSK、汉字应用水平测试等各种应用场合提供技术支持,更能够为汉语国际推广起到推动作用。

英文摘要: The automatic evaluation of handwritten Chinese character(AEHCC) is an important application of CAI(Computer-Assisted Instruction) on Chinese character. There are essential differences between AEHCC and OCR on their basic task, processing object, and processing method. Current research work can't finish the task of evaluating handwritten Chinese characters unattended and feedback automatically. This project using handwriting input devices to record the meta-information including writing process and writing result. And the project will focus on the features of standard Chinese characters and handwritten ones. Finally it will automatically evaluate the handwritten characters on its correctness and aesthetics. The main research content of this project includes: A new approach to describing Chinese character glyph (both Standard and Handwritten) and provides a set of algorithms to extract character features; A set of algorithms of automatically evaluation; A new approach to automatically feedback the evaluation results. The aim of this project is to improve Chinese character handwriting education, through deeply analyzing the detail features and macro features. We hope that it will provide support for HSK, HZC, etc. and can develop the International Chinese education.
