中文摘要: 近年来,随着海洋领域科研工作的不断深入和无线通信技术的迅猛发展,水下无线光通信技术受到了广泛的关注,其关键技术之一的调制解调技术也得到了逐步深入的研究。现有文献中也报导了一些常用的调制解调技术,这些研究集中在理论分析上,部分已搭建实验平台验证调制解调技术的可行性。本项目从传统的水下无线光通信调制解调技术出发,针对复杂的水下通信环境和水下光通信系统的性能需求,研究无线光通信系统的通信距离、通信速率、功率消耗、系统复杂度等诸多性能指标,提出一种或几种性能优异的水下无线光通信调制解调技术。同时研究水下无线光信道特性,建立更加合理的信道模型。针对特定的水下通信环境和系统设置,将对设计的调制解调技术予以仿真验证,给出科学的分析评价,并探讨未来的实际应用前景和社会价值。

英文摘要: In recent years, with the rapid development of marine scientific research and wireless communication technology, underwater wireless optical communication (UWOC) has attracted more and more attention. As one of the key technologies for UWOC, modulation and demodulation (mod/demod) techniques have been studied in-depth. A number of widely used mod/demod techniques have been reported in the existing literature. Most of them mainly focus on theoretical analysis while some set up experimental platforms to verify their feasibilities. In this project, we study the performance metrics such as communication distance, data rate, power consumption, and system complexity of traditional mod/demod techniques for UWOC, then plan to propose one or more mod/demod techniques with improved performance especially on communication distance and data rate. We also study the underwater optical channel characteristics and set up more reasonable channel model. For given underwater environment and system settings, we evaluate the performance of proposed mod/demod techniques by software simulation and hardware experiment, and explore the practical application and social value.
