中文摘要: 陆面过程是区域数值天气模式需考虑的重要内容之一,但目前国内外主要的区域数值天气模式只有大气观测数据同化系统,而没有陆面观测数据同化系统,使得区域数值天气模式缺少融合陆面观测资料的能力,不利于陆面参量及大气边界层相关水热物理量模拟准确度的提高,成为当前亟待解决的重要课题。本项目选用在科研及业务中有广泛应用的WRF数值天气模式为改进对象,以提高土壤湿度数值模拟效果为切入点,探索FY-3微波亮温资料的直接同化技术,重点解决数据同化算法、地表微波辐射传输模型及经验参数优化估算算法等关键技术,最终构建基于FY-3微波亮温资料和WRF数值天气模式的土壤湿度同化系统。项目的研究成果将直接改善区域数值天气模式中关键陆面参量及大气边界层相关水热物理量的模拟准确度;项目突破的关键技术可为区域数值天气模式中陆面数据同化系统的建立和完善奠定坚实的基础。

英文摘要: Land surface process is one of the key components in regional numerical weather forecast modeling. However, most numerical weather forecast models available worldwide can only support atmospheric observation data assimilation and leave the land surface data assimilation untouched. Incapable in assimilating the land surface data strongly limits the application of the land surface data and hinders an accurate simulation in both land-surface parameters and other planetary boundary layer quantities. This unfavorable situation poses itself as an important and urgent research topic. In this proposed project, we will improve the widely used WRF numerical weather forecast model to encompass land surface data assimilation. By initiating soil moisture numerical simulation, we will study direct assimilation techniques on FY-3 microwave brightness-temperature data. These techniques include data assimilation algorithm, modeling of land surface microwave radiation, and optimizing of empirical parameters. As a final result, a practical numerical weather forecast system will be built based on the WRF model with the ability to utilize the FY-3 microwave brightness-temperature data.
