中文摘要: 大脑结构形成过程中,会在其表面产生复杂的卷曲和折叠。生理病理等因素会使大脑皮层的表面形态发生改变,研究大脑皮层复杂的形状,对认识大脑的生长发育老化规律、疾病的发生发展机制以及疾病的早期诊断具有重要的意义。现有研究刻画大脑皮层复杂形状的度量较单一,忽略了大脑皮层几何特性与细胞构筑之间的关系。因此,本项目将针对复杂的大脑皮层曲面,提出一种新的刻画大脑皮层表面的形状度量,然后研究这些度量之间的相关关系,并试图阐明这些度量隐含的生理意义。本研究从大脑皮层形成的角度,丰富了现有的刻画大脑皮层形状的度量方法,具有重要的科学意义。

英文摘要: The complex cortical folding pattern would be formed during brain morphogenesis. Cerebral topographical properties would be changed under the influence of physiological and pathological factors. It is very important to uncover the mechanism of brain development, disease progress and the early diagnosis of diseases by studying the complex morphology of cerebral cortex. However, the existing measurements of cerebral cortex are simplified, and the relationship between geometrical features and cytoarchitecture of cerebral cortex is ignored. Therefore, this project aims to present a new measureing method to characterize the complex cortical morphology. Then, the relationships among these measurements will be studied. The underlying physiological meanings of these measurements will be investigated. This project contributes to the measurements of complex cortical cortex in respect of brain morphogenesis and has significant scientific values.
