中文摘要: 森林立木的材积积蓄速率在生长初期的增长是确定无疑的,然而在生长中后期,关于材积增长速率的变化存在争议:有研究认为速率将减慢,另有研究认为速率将加快。中亚干旱半干旱区作为特殊的地理单元,对其山地森林的相关研究将为该争论的解决提供重要的参考资料。本研究选择天山北坡雪岭云杉成熟立木的材积增长过程为研究目标,基于严格细致的野外采样和实验室分析,通过考察雪岭云杉成熟、过熟立木材积各组分,特别是边材、心材和枝条材积的变化过程,试图理解雪岭云杉成熟立木材积积蓄速率与个体的树高、干径以及树龄的关系。相关研究有助于加深对中亚干旱区山地森林生态系统针叶林立木生物量碳积蓄过程及其稳定性维持机制的理解,减少关于森林固碳潜力及其不确定性的科学认识。

英文摘要: Pre-maturity increase in wood mass production rate is a long standing premise, whereas the variation of the rate after maturity posses controversy: some studies reported that the rate will decrease and others found an increasing trend after maturity. The arid and semiarid regions in Central Asia is a unique geographic unit among the vast mid-latitude regions in the world, and the related study on wood mass production rate in these regions have the potential to provide reference data to the controversy due to its large area of Mountainous forest distribution. The present study aims to investigate the wood mass production rate in old Schrenk Spruce trees at Tianshan Mountains based on detailed field sampling and laboratory analysis. During the investigation, each mass production component (especially the sapwood, heartwood and branches) will be measured and analyzed in order to understand the relationship between mass production rate and height, trunk diameter and age of old trees. These works is expected to deepen our understanding of the carbon sequestration procedure and sustaining mechanism in the forest ecosystem of arid and semiarid regions in Central Asia and reduce the uncertainty corresponding to the carbon sequestration potential of forest.
