Existing studies on the dynamics of epidemics on complex networks mainly focus on the models consisting of one type of spreading dynamic, one important fact is often ignored: the outbreaks of epidemics will simultaneously lead to the diffusions of related information, opinions, panics, etc., through various channels. These behaviors, in turn, affect and even change the ways of the spreading of epidemics, which essentially forms the subject about the interplay of multi-type spreading dynamics on coupled networks. To this end, this project combines the modeling and theoretical analysis methods to thoroughly study the roles of the topological structures of coupled networks (including intra-layer and inter-layer properties, etc.),the unique properties of different types of spreading behaviors (social reinforcement effect, memory effect, time decaying effect, etc.) and the interaction mechanisms among different types of spreading behaviors (mutual inhibition, mutual promotion, etc.) on the dynamics of epidemic spreading, and then explore the key factors and their internal mechanisms; We also try to establish a general theory framework to study the multi-type spreading dynamics on coupled networks; Ultimately, combining the structural properties of coupled networks and dynamic of spreading to identify important nodes or the critical paths in the networks, and then propose effective incentives or immunization strategies to control the spreading of epidemics. This project studies the spreading of epidemic on networks in a more novel and objective viewpoint, which enriches and develops the results in this direction.
