中文摘要: KDP类晶体是目前唯一可用于激光核聚变工程的非线性光学材料,随着高功率激光技术的快速发展,对大截面高质量晶体的需求不断增加,这对该类晶体的生长研究提出了新的更高要求。现有KDP类晶体生长方法都是让晶体各晶面自由生长,最终得到外形为四棱柱和四棱锥聚体状晶体。而用于高功率激光倍频器件的相位匹配方向,与自由生长KDP类晶体晶面间有较大夹角,导致晶体实际利用率很低、生长成本很高。本课题提出通过自行设计特殊的生长装置来限制晶体各晶面的自由生长,并调节生长溶液pH值和使用必要的添加剂来调控不同晶面的生长速度,使晶体只沿相位匹配方向的侧向二维快速生长,进而深入研究晶体侧向快速生长中的基本物理机制和缺陷形成机理,直接生长出满足不同倍频应用要求的片状晶体。这一KDP类晶体生长新技术的研究对于缩短大截面晶体的生长周期、提高晶体利用率、降低成本将有重要实用价值,对相关晶体快速生长物理机制的研究也有一定借鉴意义。

英文摘要: KDP-type crystal is the only nonlinear optical material currently used for laser fusion project. With the rapid development of high-power laser technology, the demands for high-quality crystals with large cross-section are continuously increasing. This brings new and higher requirement to the research on growth technology of KDP crystal. Existing growth methods of KDP-type crystals allow the free growth of each crystal face. And crystals are finally grown to natural morphology having prism and pyramidal portions. However, there are big angles between the phase-matching directions of frequency conversion devices used in high-power laser and the crystal faces of free growth KDP-type crystals. This leads to very low crystal yield and the high cost of crystal growth. This project proposes to design the special growth device to restrain the free crystal growth, and by changing pH value of growth solution as well as using necessary additives to regulate and control the growth rates of different crystal faces. As a result, the crystals only rapidly grow in two dimensions that along the profiling directions of the phase matching orientation.
