中文摘要: 对现有互联网而言,多宿主与叠加网络两种技术可以在一对主机之间生成并利用多条路径进行并行数据传输,从而有效提高端到端的数据传输速率,增强数据传输的健壮性。一方面,利用多宿主特性可以避免接入带宽的瓶颈以及闲置网络资源的浪费;另一方面,叠加网络在弥补现有IP路由协议局限性的同时,借助叠加节点的转发可提供更多可达路径的选择,进一步提高整体网络资源的利用率。本项目拟在前期对基于多宿主特性多路径传输的研究基础上,扩充叠加网络多路径的场景,继续对更复杂的多路径传输调度和控制技术进行深入研究。本项目的总体目标是建立一套更为通用的多路径传输的流量调度与控制理论,包括多路径与链式结合的叠加网络传输控制、多宿主特性与叠加网络共存的多路径流量调度、基于博弈模型的友好多路径选择等三项核心功能与一个具有实际应用价值的异质多传输路径共存下的系统架构,保证多路径传输中资源使用的高效性与公平性,促进未来网络良性健康的发展。

英文摘要: As for the existing Internet, multihoming characteristic and overlay network can take advantage of parallel multi-path technology to transmit data between a pair of correspondent host, to improve the end-to-end network transmission throughput in a simple and effective way, to enhance the robustness of data transmission, and to meet the user fast-growing service requirements. Exploring the multihoming characteristic can avoid the access bandwidth bottleneck and the idle of access network resources, to improve the access bandwidth bottleneck; on the other hand, overlay network can compensate for the limitations of existing IP routing protocol and provide more choices of the available path through other overlay nodes forwarding, to improve the network resources utilization effectively. The project is planned to depend on our earlier works about the multi-path transmission based on the multihoming capabilities, to expand the multipath scenes of overlay network, to maintain the principle of network friendly, to continue conducting an in-depth research on a more complex multi-path transmission scheduling and control technology.
