中文摘要: 粗粒度可重构系统通过提高计算并行度和实现动态硬件资源复用,能够在计算性能和灵活度之间获得良好平衡,近年来逐渐成为通用处理器和专用集成电路在媒体处理领域的替代方案。然而,随着媒体处理性能要求越来越高,已有的粗粒度可重构系统数据流管理机制已经无法满足其日益增长的数据带宽和重构效率的要求。本项目:提出一种面向媒体处理的粗粒度可重构阵列上数据流分配的模调度策略,该模调度策略同时考虑到了媒体处理算法中的数据流特性以及采用的存储系统结构,可以大幅提升媒体算法在粗粒度可重构阵列上的映射效率;提出一套结合面向媒体处理粗粒度可重构系统中数据流特点的存储分层和预取重用方案,可以极大减少系统重构时间和存储访问延迟;提出一种结合可重构阵列上数据流调度策略以及存储系统结构的数据流统一管理机制,可以进一步优化系统中的数据流存取效率。本项目的研究,将为提高粗粒度可重构系统的计算性能奠定必需的理论基础。

英文摘要: Since coarse-grained reconfigurable system can provide satisfying solutions in terms of both efficiency and flexibility with the implementation of high computing parallelism and dynamic reuse of hardware resources, they are becoming the alternative for multimedia processing applications to GPPs (general purpose processor) and ASICs (application specific integrated circuit). However, with the ever increasing demand for multimedia processing performance, existing data flow management strategies of coarse-grained reconfigurable systems have met great challenge for the high requirements of data throughput and reconfiguration efficiency. This project aims to: 1. propose a efficient modulo scheduling strategy to map data flow onto a coarse-grained reconfigurable array for multimedia processing, by taking into account the data flow features of targert multimedia algorithms and the memory sub-system architecture adopted; 2. propose a hierarchical storage structure and prefetching and reusing methords based on the data flow features of targert multimedia algorithms to reduce the system reconfiguration time and the access latency; 3. propose an unified management strategy to further optimize the data accessing efficiency of the target system. the researchs in our project will achieve the theoretical foundation to improve
