中文摘要: 新型非易失性存储器件近年来工艺进展和成本走低,为内存计算模式的应用和发展创造了机会。将基于非易失性存储器件的新型存储级内存SCM与传统内存相结合组成混合内存,可以在保持成本和能耗优势的前提下大幅提升内存容量,为大数据的高效实时处理提供支持。然而,混合内存体系架构的引入,对系统软件的设计提出了新的挑战。.项目拟针对混合内存体系架构下支持内存计算的系统软件机理和关键技术展开研究。探索支持混合内存管理的内存分配、回收和地址映射方法,设计混合内存高效统一管理机制;研究基于原地写操作、按字节访问的持久内存一致性抽象模型,设计灵活的支持混合内存多模式访问的系统接口;研究混合内存体系架构下支持语义描述的内存数据结构,设计并实现相应的用户态语义文件系统;通过原型系统构建和系统模拟仿真,对设计的支持混合内存的系统软件的有效性和合理性进行验证。

英文摘要: Recent advances in Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) bring an opportunity for the development of in-memory computing paradigm. By combining storage class memory (SCM) based on NVM and traditional main memory, the main memory capacity can be significantly increased with the advantage of retaining low cost and energy consumption. However, the introduction of hybrid main memory architecture poses some new challenges to the design of system software. This project will focus on the mechanism and design principles of system software for hybrid main memory architecture. The project will explore the memory allocating ,recycling and mapping,establish a unified management framework for hybrid main memory architecture; abstract in-place writing and byte-addressable accessing characteristics of SCM, design a set of flexible multi-mode system interfaces for accessing hybrid main memory; investigate approaches to supporting semantics related memory data structure in hybrid main memory, develop a semantics supported user mode file system; finally,construct a prototype system to validate and verify the effectiveness of the mechanisms proposed and key technologies developed.
