中文摘要: 本课题引入序号调制概念统一空间调制(spatial modulation)技术和载波序列调制(index modulated OFDM)技术,进一步挖掘空域、时域及频域资源,以最大化系统的信息传输能力。首先,利用天线的激活模式和相位旋转量携带信息,提出新颖的空时编码技术,探索所有可能的子载波激活模式,提出容量增强的载波序列调制技术,对导频图案进行编码传输,提出导频图案携带信息的新技术;然后,针对高速移动需求,提出适用于序号调制系统的预编码载波间干扰(ICI)抑制方案;最后,研究在信道反馈下可提高序号调制系统通信容量的收发策略,包括序号调制方法选择及资源分配方案。本课题的研究成果可以为MIMO-OFDM系统的演进提供理论基础,研究方法可以为无线通信其它相关问题提供新思路,在应用方面,研究提出的序列调制概念及相关技术将更符合5G移动通信对绿色通信的要求。

英文摘要: The aim of this project is to maximize the information transmission capability of the communication system by means of index modulation, which is supposed to include the spatial modulation technique and the index modulated OFDM (IM-OFDM) technique as its special cases and explore the spatial, temporal, and frequency resources further. To this end, first, this project plans to propose a novel space-time block coding technique, which conveys information via the antenna activation mode and the phase rotation value, a capacity-enhanced IM-OFDM technique, which develops new subcarrier activation modes, and a novel information conveying mechanism, which is realized by encoding different time-frequency pilot patterns. Then, to ensure satisfactory communication quality in the high-speed vehicular environment, this project plans to propose several novel pre-coding based inter-carrier interference (ICI) cancellation schemes compatible with the newly proposed system. Finally, this project plans to design efficient strategies for the proposed index modulated system, which can adapt to the instantaneous channel, including the best selection from all possible index modulation methods and effective resource allocation method. The research output of this project tends to support valuable references for the evolution of the MIMO-OFDM system, and the adopted research methods can provide new ideas for the solution of many relevant problems. Moreover, the proposed index modulation concept and the proposed techniques in this project comply with the “Green” requirement of the next generation wireless communications better.
