中文摘要: 本项目致力于发展旋转线偏振成像方法在恶性肿瘤中的诊断应用,工作从研究组织中细胞器官尺寸、密度、排列方式等结构特征和双折射、二色性等光学特征在偏振光传输与散射中的影响出发,对照偏振敏感相干层析技术和穆勒矩阵测量技术,对健康和早中期癌变组织在偏振光学检测上的差异进行分析和解释,建立不同类型癌组织的光学模型,提取能够高对比度划分癌变手术区域的偏振检测参数,并结合新型生物组织仿体和蒙特卡罗模拟方法,探讨基于偏振检测参数组的组织病变特征的反演算法并用于诊断评估。该项工作将对偏振光散射与成像具有基础研究意义,能够为恶性肿瘤的诊断与成像形成新方法。

英文摘要: This project focuses on the application of rotating linear polarization imaging in tumor diagnosis. The research work starts with how the structural characteristics of organelles, such as size, density, arrangement, birefringence and so on, can affect the transmission and scattering process of polarized light in tissues. Compared with the results from polarization sensitive optical coherence tomography and Muller matrix measurement, we will analyze and explain the differece between the benign and malignant tumor based on polarization features, establish optical models of several cancer tissues, and extract polarization parameters to recognize the cancerous area with high contrast. Using tissue phantom and Monte Carlo simulation method, we also will study the inverse problem of tissue characterization according to polarization measurement and then apply it in diagnosis. The project will be significant for the development of polarization imaging methods and tumor optical diagnosis.
