中文摘要: 相干光通信技术具有带宽大、灵敏度高、频谱利用率高等特点,是提高光通信速率的理想解决方案。可调谐窄线宽激光器是相干光通信系统的核心器件,激光器线宽的大小直接影响到整个光通信系统的通信容量。本项目针对相干光通信系统的要求,研究基于重构-等效啁啾技术低成本可调谐窄线宽DFB激光器阵列芯片。理论上分析影响激光器线宽的主要因素,实验上利用重构-等效啁啾技术设计复杂光栅结构以压窄激光器线宽。本项目还将研究窄线宽激光器所具有的空间烧孔、模式竞争等基础理论问题。

英文摘要: Owing to its large capacity, high sensitivity and spectral efficiency,the coherent optical communication technique is considered to be an ideal solution of improving the communication speed of the network. The tunable lasers with narrow linewidth are the key components of the coherent optical communication system, which decide the capacity of the communication system. Low-cost tunable narrow linewidth DFB laser arrays are investigated for the application of coherent optical communication system using reconstruction-equivalent chirp (REC) technique. The factors influencing the linewidth of the DFB lasers are studied theoretically. In order to narrow the linewidth of the DFB lasers, gratings with complicated structures will be fabricated using the REC technique. The spatial hole burning effect and mode competition in the DFB laser arrays will also be analyzed.
