中文摘要: 电致变色材料具有可逆的光学变化性质,在显示器件等领域具有广阔的应用空间。然而由于受固定的氧化还原态限制,其光谱吸收带固定,宏观上表现为变色时颜色固定,因此使用单一一种材料获得多颜色显示较为困难。贵金属纳米材料是一种新型的光电功能材料,具有特殊的局域表面等离子体共振性质(LSPR),利用这一特殊的光学性质,使得通过调控贵金属纳米材料的微结构实现多色显示成为可能。本项目中我们提出了一种利用贵金属LSPR性质实现电致变色过程的新策略,通过利用电沉积法控制片状纳米银结构生长/溶解过程,改变片状结构尺寸,从而实现电致变色,以期拓宽变色过程中光谱可持续调节范围,实现单一材料的多色显示。该项目的顺利实施将促进新型电致变色材料的设计和开发,同时为其在全色显示器和光调控器件等方面的应用奠定基础。

英文摘要: Electrochromic materials open up new opportunities in display devices due to their reversible optical changes. However, the optical spectra as well as the displayed colors are limited by the restricted redox states. Because the absorption spectrum of material is fixed, it is difficult to show multi-color with single component. Noble metal nanostructures have emerged as promising optoelectronic candidates due to their unique localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) characteristics. It might be a promising way to achieve variable colorific devices by tuning the structure of noble metals. In this proposal, we propose and demonstrate the viability of a new strategy to design and prepare electrochromic material with continuous color tunability by controlling the growth/dissolving process of the Ag nanoplates. The absorption band of the device can be conveniently adjusted over a broad range based on the change of the LSPR band of Ag nanoplates with different sizes. This project may promote the research on the rational design of LSPR-based electrochromic devices. Additionally, it may build up a solid base for the application of such devices in many fields, including high-quality displays and light modulating devices.
