中文摘要: 脑瘫对儿童的运动能力及相关运动神经中枢造成明显的损害,其有效康复需要对外在的运动能力和运动中枢的恢复进行综合考虑。目前的脑瘫康复技术主要注重于对其运动能力的康复,缺乏对相关运动神经系统损伤康复的关注。同时,由于对相应神经康复机制的认识还不够深入,限制了脑瘫康复技术的发展。基于运动想象的脑机接口技术由于其涉及到的神经机制和运动密切相关,可望在脑瘫运动康复中发挥重要作用。本项目以发展基于运动想象脑机接口技术的脑瘫儿童运动功能康复技术为目标,拟采用多模态影像信息技术(MRI, EEG),从结构、功能、行为等方面对运动想象的神经机制、特定类型脑瘫脑机制及其运动想象康复机制进行系统性的研究,进而发展针对特定类型脑瘫患者的脑机接口运动功能康复技术和系统,促进脑机接口技术在脑瘫康复实践中的应用。

英文摘要: Both the movement ability and related motor neural system are severely damaged when cerebral palsy happened, and it needs to consider the two factors together in the rehabilitation of cerebral palsy. However, those current rehabilitation routines mainly focus on recovery of the movement ability without parallel emphasis on the repair of the related neural system. Because the neural basis behind the motor imagery based brain computer interface (MI-BCI) is closely correlated with the movement system, it would be a potential approach for the rehabilitation of cerebral palsy. However, the lack of the detailed mechanism of cerebral palsy rehabilitation greatly limited the development of new methods. In this work, we will introduce MI-BCI into the rehabilitation of cerebral palsy. The studies in the project will cover below aspects: To reveal the neural mechanism behind MI and the cerebral palsy rehabilitation using multi-modal information (MRI, EEG) both in structure and function, which can provide neural basis for BCI and rehabilitation; To develop specific MI-BCI for the rehabilitation of a specific cerebral palsy type, which may effectively assist the related rehabilitation.
