中文摘要: 二维层状异质结构是二维晶格材料通过范德瓦尔斯键结合形成的晶体材料,它的电子性质有别于一般的二维层状晶体材料。同时,其晶格结构可以按照人为意愿构筑,这些独特的性质使其成为凝聚态物理及电子材料科学领域新的研究亮点。本课题拟对由不同二维层状材料叠加所形成的异质结构,及由二维层状材料与三维拓扑绝缘体表面结合而成的异质结构开展如下理论研究:确定层状异质结构的晶格结构;研究其电子结构和电子拓扑性质;评估这种结构中费米能级附近载流子的输运特征;根据这些电子特性,研究基于层状异质结构的各种纳米结构的电子输运特性,建立可操控电子自旋或赝自旋自由度的电子器件模型,为相关实验研究提供理论信息。

英文摘要: Two-dimensional (2D) layered heterostructures are made by stacking different 2D crystals together by van der Waals bond. And it becomes a new research highlight in the field of condensed matter physics and electronic material science, due to their tunable lattice and electronic structures which are often different from those of the individual 2D crystals to construct them. In this project we will investigate two kinds of 2D layered heterostructures, one is made by stacking different 2D crystals on top of each other, and the other is by placing the 2D crystals on the surface of three-dimensional topological insulator. We will firstly determine the lattice structure of some layered heterostructures by ab initio calculation, further study their electronic structure and electronic topological properties. Subsequently, we will evaluate the transport property of the carriers near the Fermi level of these layered heterostructures. According to these electronic properties, we will study the electronic transport properties of various nanostructures based on 2D layered heterostructures, and propose some electronic device prototypes which can manipulate the electron spin or pseudo-spin degrees of freedom.
