中文摘要: 近年来,随着室温离子液体在新能源和新材料方面的逐步应用,离子液体结构特性的研究已成为自然科学研究的前沿课题之一。鉴于离子液体呈现出不同于常规分子溶剂的种种独特的物理化学性质,多种实验手段和理论模拟工作正试图揭示离子液体分子间相互作用和结构特性与其独特物理化学性质的内在关系。迄今为止,离子液体是否存在纳米尺度的结构非均匀性是离子液体基础研究领域的核心问题。围绕这一核心问题,本项目采用飞秒光学外差克尔效应光谱技术为主要实验手段,结合稳态拉曼光谱,以一系列典型的离子液体体系为研究对象,系统地探讨离子液体中阳离子的烷基侧链存在形式、阴离子的影响、阳离子的结构对称性以及氢键的影响等基本问题,从光谱学的角度为人们认识离子液体中是否存在结构非均匀性以及离子液体的结构和物理化学性质的内在关系增添新的实验证据。本项目对化学、材料科学和环境科学的基础研究具有极其重要的意义。

英文摘要: Room Temperature Ionic Liquids (RTILs) are currently paid great interests due to their diverse application in synthesis, catalysis, electrochemistry, separation technology and material science. RTILs have numerous unique properties that differ from those of conventional molecular solvents. Although researchers have addressed that the unique properties of RTILs arose from their microscopic interionic interaction and pure liquid structure, there remain some significant debates about the liquid structure of RTILs, such as nanoscale structural heterogeneity in RTILs. In this project, we will apply femtosecond optical heterodyne-detected optical Kerr effect spectroscopy, together with Raman spectroscopy, to investigate the effect of alkyl side-chain of cation, the effect of anion, the effetc of the symmetry of cation and the effect of hydrogen bond of cation on the liquid structure and the interionic interaction in typical RTILs. This study will help researchers deeply understand the unique physicochemical properties of RTILs.
