中文摘要: 南海热带气旋生成与西南季风关系密切,活跃在季风系统的热带对流云团常发展成为热带气旋的初始胚胎。本项目拟利用观测资料、卫星资料和再分析资料,采用合成对比分析、数值模拟和诊断分析等方法,分析研究活跃在西南季风系统的发展和不发展对流云团大尺度背景和对流特征的差异,了解西南季风在对流云团是否发展演变过程中的作用;并通过敏感性数值模拟试验,深入理解南海热带气旋生成过程中西南季风和与其关联的对流云团之间的相互作用和协同发展,揭示西南季风对中尺度对流云团升尺度发展成为南海热带气旋的影响机制。

英文摘要: Tropical cyclone formation over South China Sea is closely related to the southwest monsoon. And tropical convective clouds associated with the monsoon system often develop into the initial disturbance of tropical cyclone. In this project, based on the observational data, satellite data and reanalysis data, the synthesized comparative analysis will be used to find out the differences of large-scale background and convective characteristics between developing and non-developing convective clouds associated with the southwest monsoon. And then it is understood that the role of the southwest monsoon in the evolution processes of developing and non-developing convective clouds. We want to comprehend deeply the interaction and collaborative development between the southwest monsoon and its association convective clouds during tropical cyclone genesis over South China Sea by sensitivity simulations. Meanwhile, the mechanism, which the mesoscale convective clouds relative to the southwest monsoon over the South China Sea upscaling develop into a tropical cyclone, is revealed.
