中文摘要: 从2009年到2011年,按着项目的研究计划,同时结合国际上的新动向开展研究工作。项目进展顺利,完成以下两个方面的内容:1) 推广和发展了二能级原子系综的自旋压缩理论;结合最近实验进展,理论上研究了双模玻色子系统的自旋压缩和多体纠缠的表征和测量问题;2) 基于双组份玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体,研究了原子相位压缩态的制备和非线性量子干涉仪的最优相位灵敏度。 项目执行期间,我们在国内外核心刊物 (如Physical Review Letters, Physical Review A, 中国科学等)发表论文 10 篇。培养博士研究生 1名,硕士研究生3名。此外,吸引10余名本科生参与科研工作,其中2名学生赴美留学、6名学生保研至国内科研院所,2名学生获得宝钢优秀奖学金。

英文摘要: From 2009 to 2011, according to the project plans, combined with the new trends of international research, the project has been proceeded smoothly with a series of innovative research results. We have investigated general theory of spin squeezing of two-level atomic ensemble; Spin squeezing and multiparticle entanglement of a two-mode bosonic system and its representation and measurement; In addition, based upon two-component Bose-Einstein condensates, we have studied coherent generation of atomic phase-squeezed states and optimal phase sensitivity in a nonlinear quantum interferometer. During the period, ten research articles have been published in high-level journals, such as Physical Review Letters, Physical Review A, and Science of Chinese. There are three Ms.D students and one Ph.D student involved in this project. In addition, over ten college students have an opportunity to feel and to touch the frontiers of science. Among them, several students decided to study further the AMO and two students won the Baosteel Excellent scholarship.
