中文摘要: 传统的理论模式通常将东北泥炭纤维素碳同位素组成作为降雨量的代用指标,而降雨量又作为东亚季风强度的代用指标。现代气象观测数据、已经发表的泥炭纤维素碳同位素数据和我们在吉林3个泥炭剖面所做的预研究获得的数据均不支持这一理论模式。本项目拟通过吉林省双阳鹿乡、辉南金川、柳河哈尼3个彼此临近发育、具有相同时间长度或不同时间长度的泥炭剖面单种植物纤维素碳同位素组成、泥炭分解度、C/N比值等多指标综合分析,运用高分辨率取样技术和高精度AMS的C-14测年技术,结合现代气象观测数据分析及成炭植物苔草和泥炭藓纤维素碳同位素对现代气候参数的响应关系的实地监测,准确查明泥炭纤维素碳同位素组成到底可以作为何种气候参数的代用指标,并回答泥炭纤维素碳同位素组成能否直接作为东亚季风强度变化的代用指标这一重要科学问题。本项目对于泥炭纤维素碳同位素古气候意义理论体系的建立和东亚季风高频变化的重建具有重要意义。

英文摘要: Traditionally, the stable carbon isotopic compositions of peat cellulose in NE China have been generally used as indicators of the East Asian monsoon changes, based on the positive feedback between the monsoon intensity and precipitation,and on the negative feedback between precipitation and carbon isotopic compositions. However, these feedbacks are not supported by meteorological data, published carbon isotopic data or our pre-research data. In this project, the Luxiang,Jinchuan and Hani peatlands are selected for testing if these feedbacks are really present or valid. These peatlands have been evolving contiguously with the same or different time lengths. The relation between rainfalls and carbon isotopic compositions will be monitored in site for living sedges and mosses. The celluloses of sedge residues in peat profiles will be extracted for carbon isotopic analysis and their ages will be determined with the high-precision C-14 AMS technique. Together with analyses of peat decomposition degree and C/N ratio, we aim to ascertain of which climate parameter the carbon isotopic compositions of peat cellulose can be used as indicators or whether or not the carbon isotopic compositions of peat cellulose have sensitive responses to the East Asian monsoon change.
