中文摘要: Schottky诊断是储存环中一个非常重要的非拦截式束流诊断手段,其不仅可以用于束流和机器参数的测量,如束流流强、回旋频率、能量、频率分布宽度和动量分布宽度、tune值等参数,而且通过Schottky噪声频谱可以研究机器的稳定性,并且其可以作为实验物理的一个有力探测工具用于质量测量、短寿命核的寿命测量、β衰变测量等,因此Schottky探针的研制非常有意义。 当储存环中的离子数很少时,Schottky信号通常会淹没于各种噪声之中,信噪比很差以至于无法观测到束流信号。本项目将研制具有高灵敏度、高时间分辨率的共振Schottky探针用于束流参数测量、机器稳定性研究以及物理实验等,最终实现单粒子测量的目标,解决现有容性Schottky探针信噪比差的致命弱点。本项目在理论研究、模拟计算之后,将设计建成一套共振Schottky探针系统,实现研究目标。

英文摘要: Schottky diagnosis is a very powerful undistructive diagnostic tool in storage rings and can be used for beam and machine parameters measurement, for example beam intensity, revolution frequency, beam energy, frequency spread and momentum width, tune value and so on. It also can be used for the research of the machine stability. Besides it can even be used as a useful experimental physics detector for nuclear mass measurement, lifetime measurement of the short-lived nucleis, beta decay measurement and so on. So investigation of the Schottky pickup is very useful and meaningful. When there are rare particles inside the machine, Schottky signal will be too weak to be distinguished from the noise and can hardly be detected. To solve the problem of the low sensitivity of the present Schottky pickup, this project is to investigate a resonant Schottky pickup with high sensitivity and high time resolution for beam measurement, machine instability research and physics experiement and the final aim is to detect one particle. After the theoretical research and simulation, a resonant Schottky pickup system will be designed and built under the support of this project.
