中文摘要: 被子植物的物种多样性及其不均匀分布是进化生物学研究的热点问题。一种主流的观点是当一个植物类群具备适应其生境的功能性状,该类群在其适宜生境中就可能发生辐射分化而在短时间内演化形成大量的物种。针对这一科学问题,本项目拟以狭义杨柳科为研究对象,采用分子系统学、功能性状、化石证据相结合的方法进行研究:在大量取样的基础上,构建具有良好分辨率的分子系统树,分辨狭义杨柳科的主要分支并估算各分支的分化时间以及显著的物种分化速率的变化。通过功能性状与分子系统树的联合分析推断与狭义杨柳科的生境以及发生物种分化速率变化的分支明显相关的功能性状,再结合地质历史及古气候资料、化石证据分析狭义杨柳科的物种多样性及其不均匀分布的形成机制。本项目的实施有助于推进被子植物物种多样性及其不均匀分布的形成机制的研究,并为狭义杨柳科这个分类困难的植物类群的分类学及系统学研究奠定坚实的基础。

英文摘要: Species diversification and uneven distribution of angiosperm is a hot research topic in evolutionary biology for long time.One popular hypothesis is that plant species might enter a radiation differentiation and create enormous new species for short period when plant has a functional trait adapted well to its habitat. To explain and prove this hypothesis, we will choose the plant species of Saliaceae s.str.as research samples, and introduce a novel method which combines molecular phylogenetics with plant functional traits and fossil evidence analyses in the proposed project. On basis of intensive sampling, we are planning to construct high resolution molecular phylogenetical tree, define the major clades of the family, and detect significant divesificaton rate shifts of clades. We will mark plant functional traits on moleculaer phylogenetical trees to infer significant changes of plant functional traits on divesification rates rate shifts clade, and to analyze the association between plant functional traits and habitat.Afterwards, we will integrate our phylogenetic information with paleo-geological, paleo-environmental and paleo-climate data to explain the mechanism of species diversification and uneven distribution of the willow family.
