It is very difficult for phthalate esters to be decomposed , which can cause harmful to our ecological environment. Thus, it is an urgent task to development new photocatalysts and technology for the removal of phthalate esters. In this project, we intend to research the sliver-based photocatalytic materials based on the structure design and controllable fabrication: First, sliver-based visible-light active photocatalytic materials were prepared by hydrothermal and microwave hydrothermal methods. In addition, Ag nanoparticles will be deposited on silver-based photocatalysts to form plasmonic composites. The effects of the morphology of the composites as well as microstructure on the photocatalytic properties will be investigated. Studying the physical and chemical mechanisms of the Ag nanoparticles in enhancing composite photocatalyst, and to design and fabricate sliver-based composite photocatalytic materials with high visible-light active and stable properties. The decomposition process and mechanism of typical phthalate esters under visible-light irradiation are carefully investigated, and the relationship between the photocatalytic degradation of the phthalate esters will be revealed. The implementation of this project may provide new insight for the design and development of the new visible-light active pho
