中文摘要: 与无机电光晶体相比,电光聚合物具有更大的电光系数和较低的介电常数,是宽带太赫兹波产生和高灵敏探测应用的更合适材料。但是电光聚合物具有主-客体结构,主体聚合物与客体电光分子之间存在相容性问题,使得主、客体之间容易产生相分离,导致材料的稳定性和电光性质的提高受到限制。本项目利用向聚合物中引入两种电光分子的方法探索解决这一问题的途径,其中一种电光分子以化学方法接枝到聚合物主链上,提高聚合物的极性,改善其与极性电光分子的相容性。同时为了进一步提高材料的电光系数,在材料中物理混合另一种电光分子,使得材料既具用良好的稳定性又具有较大的电光系数。研究这种材料的构成原则、合成方法以及两种电光分子的相互作用机理,制备适合于太赫兹辐射产生和探测应用的高性能电光聚合物材料和器件,并研究其基本性质,为这种材料的进一步发展和应用提供理论指导和实验数据。

英文摘要: Electro-optic(EO) polymers have bigger EO coefficient and smaller dielectric constants than inorganic EO crystals. They are the more appropriate materials for the applications of generating and high sensitivity detecting THz wave. However, there is a problem of the phase separation between the host polymer and guest NLO molecule in EO polymers which always have host-guest structure. It is difficult to improve the stability and EO coefficient of these EO polymers by this reason. A method to solve the problem by doping two kinds of NLO molecule to host polymer will be explored in this project. One kind of NLO will be grafted to the main chains to improve the property of assorting with the other NLO, and another NLO will be mixed into the polymer to obtain a high EO coefficient. We hope that a new kind of EO polymer with high EO coefficient and stability will be synthesized by this way. The principle and method of composing the material , and the characters of the two kinds of NLO effecting each other will be studied in this work. Materials and devices fit to the applications of THz wave will be studied too. These will provide the theory and data to the development of practical materials.
