中文摘要: 随着信息存储技术的飞速发展,用户数据量的急剧增加,人们对存储系统的可扩展性也提出了越来越高的要求,特别是大型存储集群和计算中心中的磁盘阵列。然而,现有磁盘阵列的可扩展方法存在着适应性较差、不支持双向可扩展、扩展过程中的可靠性和可用性得不到保障等问题,还有部分RAID级别没有适宜的可扩展方法。为此,本项目组提出了自适应可扩展构架,该框架是一个通用支持高效可扩展的构架,具有适应范围广、支持双向扩展等特性,能够满足人们在云计算、大数据和绿色存储等方面的需求。

英文摘要: With the development of data storage techiniques and the rapid increasing of user data, people have a increasing high demand on the scalability of storage systems, especially for the disk arrays in large scale clusters and data centers. However, existing scaling solutions in RAID systems have some drawbacks, such as non support of adaptive and bidirectional scaling, low availability and reliability in the scaling process, etc. Even for some RAID levels, we cannot find a proper scaling approache for them. To address these scalability issues in disk arrays, we propose an Adaptive Scaling Framework (ASF), which is a general and high efficient scaling framework. It can adptive bidirectional scaling at any RAID level and satisfy the user demand on cloud computing, big data and green storage areas.
