中文摘要: Ce:Cs2LiLaCl6(CLCC)晶体是一种具有高光产额、高能量分辨率和脉冲形状甄别(PSD)能力的新型中子-伽马双读出探测闪烁体。但大尺寸高质量CLLC晶体目前尚未制备出来,其n-γ甄别能力随着晶体厚度的增加将会降低;限制了其探测性能的进一步研究和设备的设计开发。为了解决这些问题,本项目将首次研究CLLC结晶水合物的合成和脱水机理及接种生长的方向对晶体开裂和包裹体形成的影响机制;最终通过坩埚下降法生长出Φ30mm×60mm和Φ50mm×30mm的大尺寸高质量CLLC晶体,并封装成晶体探测器。研究探测器在中子和伽马射线激发下光产额、能量分辨率、时间响应特性及其n-γ甄别能力的影响机制,并通过组分设计和能带结构调控来优化其PSD性能。本项目的实施,将会促进多组分卤化物闪烁晶体的制备技术和中子-伽马双读出探测闪烁晶体的性能与能带结构关系的研究,并为探测中子-伽马射线提供新型候选探测器。

英文摘要: Ce:Cs2LiLaCl6 (CLLC) crystal is a kind of novel dual neutron gamma rays detection scintillator with high light yiled, high energy resolution and pulse shape discrimination (PSD) ability. But CLLC crystal with large size and high quality hasn't been prepared until now. Furthermore the PSD abilities will decrease with the increasement of the crystal thickness. These problems restrict the further investigation on the crystal detector performance and the design and development of the detection equipments. To solve these problems, this project will firstly take the research on the synthesis and dehydration mechanism of CLLC hydrate, the seed crystal oritentation effect on the cracks and the formation mechanism of inclusions. And large size single crystal of CLLC with the dimensions of Φ 30 mm × 60 mm and Φ 50 mm × 30 mm will be finnaly grown and packed into crystal detectors. The effect mechanism on light yield, energy resolution, time response properties and n-γ discrimination abilties under the excitation of neutrons and gamma rays of the crystal detector will be also investigated. The PSD abilities will be optimized through the design of composition and control of the energy bands. This project will prompt the research on growth techniques of multi-compositions halide scintillation crystas and help to understand the relationship between detection properties and energy gaps for dual n-γ detection scintilation crystals . This project will provide novel detector candidate for the dual n-γ detection.
