中文摘要: 电子铁电体中存在丰富的结构现象和物理性能,它们和多重有序态的竞争与耦合密切相关。这些有序态涉及到多个自由度,包括电荷,自旋,晶格和轨道。本项目主要关注新型电子铁电体功能体系的多种有序态问题,重点研究无公度电荷/轨道序结构,铁电极化和电荷序的关联,以及插层结构对新型电子铁电性的调控。我们近期的研究结果表明,在电子铁电体中电荷/轨道序不但能直接引起晶体结构相变,还可以引起多种物理性质的突变。主要研究内容有:(1)典型电子铁电材料的电荷序/轨道序,铁电极化和结构相变,揭示铁电性能随微观结构的变化规律。关注体系主要包括Fe2OBO3和Lu-Fe-O系统;(2)利用Lorentz显微术和in-situ TEM技术直接观察铁电(磁)畴的结构和动态变化,揭示微观结构在外场下的变化规律,分析电荷序和磁结构的关联,探讨电子铁电材料的磁电耦合规律;(3)探索新型电子铁电体系的多重序,拓展电子铁电体的研究领域。

英文摘要: Electronic ferroelectric materials exhibit a rich variety of structural and physical phenomena in correlation with competition and coupling of the ordered states. Multi-degrees of freedom, i.e., spin, lattice, charge and orbital, are all important for understanding these ordering phenomena. In this project, Multi-ordered states of electronic ferroelectric materials will be studied, such as charge/orbital orders and multiferroic properties in novel systems. (a) Experimental investigations of the charge/orbital orders, electronic polarizations and structural phase transitions in Fe2OBO3 and Lu-Fe-O system. (b) Observations of the magnetic and ferroelectric domains by using in-situ Lorentz TEM, the interplay between charge/orbital order and physical properties will be extensively studied. (c) Explorations of the ordered states in novel electronic ferroelectric materials, extending our research for coupling of ordered states in electronic ferroelectric systems.
