中文摘要: 拓扑识别与构建是无线传感器网络中的重要研究问题。传感器网络对信息的采集、处理和传输都需要有效组织的拓扑结构作为基本保障。现有的拓扑问题研究通常假设已知节点精确位置信息。获取准确的位置信息在大规模传感器网络中非常困难。不依赖位置信息的拓扑识别与构建技术可以极大提高网络系统在位置信息无法获取或部分可用情况下的有效性,是近年来传感器网络的热点研究方向。本课题以提高方法的可用性和效能为目标,系统地研究不依赖位置信息的拓扑识别与构建中四个重要的挑战性科学问题。本课题在信息受限的情况下,充分挖掘问题的特点,对网络连通图的几何和拓扑特性进行深入分析,建立有效的拓扑分析工具和方法,设计高效的不依赖位置信息的分布式算法。本课题有坚实的研究基础和大规模传感器网络运行数据作为支撑,研究成果有助于推进不依赖位置信息的拓扑问题与关键技术的研究进展、突破传感器网络实际应用限制,具有重要的理论意义与应用价值。

英文摘要: Topology recognition and construction are important issues in wireless ad hoc and sensor networks. Effectively organized structures in network topology provide necessary infrastructures for many basic network operations, i.e. data gathering, in-network processing and communication etc. Most existing studies on topology issues assume the knowledge of accurate location information of nodes. Such assumptions substantially limit the applicability of those methods because acquiring accurate location measurement is practically difficult for large-scale sensor networks. Location-free methods can greatly enhance the applicability of network systems when location information is missing or only partially available. Aiming at relaxing the limitations of existing work and increasing the robustness and efficiency of methods under location uncertainty, this proposal systematically investigates four important issues involving location-free topology recognition and construction in sensor networks. We infer the geometric and topological features from network connectivity and construct effective connectivity substructures for important applications, including sensing coverage and geometrical routing. We design location-free distributed algorithms by exploring the techniques in combinatorial graph theory and computational topology
