中文摘要: 依据大亚湾中微子探测II期实验对光电倍增管需求以及前期进行的系列模拟工作,对8英寸基于微通道板球形光电倍增管(MCP-PMT)进行优化设计。本项目将完成两部分研究工作:不同MCP结构参数下的电子收集效率以及电子增益等参数模拟仿真,同时计算出双MCP不同供电结构时电子增益,为MCP使用用户提供理论指导;完成考虑地磁场影响以及电极引线等因素影响下8英寸球形光电倍增管优化设计。经过优化设计后光电倍增管具有如下特点:球面光电阴极发射电子被收集效率达到95%以上;可以根据光电倍增管使用状态动态调整光电倍增管性能;光电倍增管具有较强抗地磁场能力。此项目所有的设计结果将为国内开展大面积系列光电倍增管提供理论依据,带动和促进国内光电倍增管的研发和生产,必将对我国光电探测技术的发展有着十分重要的意义。同时此项目的完成会带来一定经济效益。

英文摘要: Aimed at the Daya Bay reactor neutrino experiment project II, we propose the novel design of 8-inch diameter spherical photomultiplier tube based on micro-channel plate (MCP-PMT). The research contents consist of the following two parts: studying of the electron collection efficiency under different MCP structural parameters, as well as electronic gain parameters, simulation of the electronic gain of dual MCP with different MCP power-supply structures, and finally completing the design of 8 inches MCP-PMT with the geomagnetic field affect, the spatial distribution of electrode and other factors. The ultimate object is to provide theoretical and technological support for the related MCP-PMT users. The characteristics of new type MCP-PMT are as follows: the collection efficiency of electron emitted from spherical photocathode can reach 95%; the tube system can meet the need with different using purpose and also have a strong anti-magnetic ability. The results of this research project will provide the theoretical support for our country in development of the series of large area photomultiplier tubes, and will also stimulate and promote the development and production of photomultiplier tubes. So it has a great significance on the development of photoelectric detection technology in China.
