中文摘要: 申请人主持的青年科学基金项目《准低维超冷费米体系的研究》进展顺利,在具有自旋-轨道耦合的准二维费米气体的BCS-BEC过渡、光晶格中准二维费米体系的磁有序、混合维度中的非平凡少体束缚态、准一维系统中的约束诱导共振、以及准低维冷原子气体的探测手段等方向取得进展;目前发表文章5篇,投稿2篇,准备投稿2篇;受邀于2012年8月在Quo Vadis BEC IV国际会议上做邀请报告。 在已有的进展基础上,本项目将聚焦准二维费米系统,在如下三类不同的准二维体系中进行持续研究:存在自旋-轨道耦合的准二维费米气体;超晶格中的准二维费米系统和光晶格中的准二维偶极量子气体;以及混合维度下的玻色-费米/费米-费米混合气体。我们将系统研究这三类准二维费米体系中的少体问题和多体性质,理解相图,研究可能出现的新奇物相和量子相变,探索实验上实现具有非平庸拓扑性质的新奇量子相的手段,寻找有应用价值的探测和调控方法。

英文摘要: With the support from NSFC (Grant No. 10904172), we have made progress in the following aspects: quasi-two-dimensional (quasi-2D) Fermi gases with spin-orbit coupling, magnetic orders in the Lieb lattice, few-body bound states in mixed dimensions, confinement-induced resonances in quasi-one dimensions, and detection methods in quasi-low-dimensional atomic gases. Based on the progress outlined above, we will focus on ultracold Fermi systems confined in quasi-2D geometry, and investigate the few-body and many-body physics in three different physical systems including: quasi-2D Fermi gases with spin-orbit coupling, quasi-2D Fermi systems with dipolar interaction in optical lattices, and Bose-Fermi/Fermi-Fermi mixtures in mixed dimensions. We will analyze the few-body scattering processes, Efimov states and other non-trivial few-body bound states, and many-particle phase diagram in the three systems, understand the existence and properties of exotic phases and phase transitions. We will further develop possible methods to realize and detect the exotic phases within realistic experimental situation.
