中文摘要: 海量多媒体数据的存储与管理是目前信息科学领域的重点研究内容。而传统的解决方案主要关注于声音、图像、视频等低维数据类型。三维形状数据作为一种新兴的多媒体数据类型,表达能力更为丰富,并在多个领域取得了广泛的应用。相关研究已经成为业界的热点问题,其基础问题是形状数据的表示和分析方法研究。 针对数据库中形状具备数据量大、数据结构复杂、数据类型不同等特点,本项目拟基于形状的几何特征表示开展相关研究。以异构数据类型下的形状分析、形状检索等应用为背景,研究异构形状数据的统一表示方法,包括兴趣点表示、内蕴特征表示和隐式函数表示,进而建立适用于不同形状数据类型的统一几何特征表示及分析框架。并结合海量形状数据检索,开展基于逼近算子的应用模型加速算法研究。本项目涉及多个领域的基础理论以及最新的信息处理技术,面向海量形状数据的表示、分析领域的核心问题开展应用基础研究,具有一定的难度,既有理论意义,也极具应用价值。

英文摘要: The storage and management of massive multimedia data is a research focus in the field of information science. However, the traditional research is majorly concerned with the low-dimensional multimedia data, such as audio, image and video. As a new type of multimedia data, 3D shape has more rich expression for the real world than the low-dimensional data, and has been widely used in different fields. The research on 3D shape data gradually becomes a hot topic, and its foundation is how to represent and describe the 3D shape in an unified manner. According to shape data is usually considerably large, having complex structure and different data types, this project will do some research based on the geometric feature of the shape. The geometric feature based method can overcome the above problems to some extent, because the geometric feature remain stable when the shape changes for one data type to another. In this project, we will take shape analysis and retrieval applications as the background, and focuse our important research on how to represent 3D shapes with different types in a unified manner. Three ways will be discussed, including the interest point representation, the intrinsic feature representation and the implicit function representation.
