中文摘要: 本项目研究拓扑近藤绝缘体及其表面态的性质。拓扑绝缘体按照其体能隙的起源可以分为拓扑能带绝缘体,拓扑安德森绝缘体,拓扑莫特绝缘体及拓扑近藤绝缘体等。拓扑近藤绝缘体的体能隙由导带电子与局域电子的杂化形成,其无能隙的表面态由导带电子和局域电子复合而成。处理这样的系统除了要使用常规拓扑绝缘体的概念和研究手段之外还需借鉴处理强关联问题的理论方法。本项目利用隶玻色子方法,大N展开方法,投影方法等研究手段处理与拓扑近藤绝缘体有关的物理问题。此类问题包括形成拓扑近藤绝缘体的新物理机制、磁性对拓扑近藤绝缘体的影响和可能发生的量子相变、在超导邻近效应的影响下表面态的反应,表面态中量子磁性杂质的性质等。对拓扑近藤绝缘体的理论研究可以促进对拓扑绝缘体中强关联效应的认识,可以揭示新的物质特性,从长远来看在科学技术方面有潜在的应用。

英文摘要: This project aims to study the topological Kondo insulator and its surface states. According to the origin of its bulk gap, the topological insulator can be divided into topological band insulator, topological Anderson insulator, topological Mott insulator, topological Kondo insulator and etc. The bulk gap of the topological Kondo insulator comes from the hybridization between the conduction electrons and the local ones. And its gappless surface state has both components. To deal with such systems, aside from the concept and research methods for the topological insulator, one must borrow methods from the strongly correlated systems. In this project, we use tools such as slave-boson method, large-N expansion and projection method to deal with physical problems about the topological Kondo insulator which involve new mechanisms for the formation of the topological Kondo insulator, the effects of magnetism on the topological Kondo insulator and possible quantum phase transitions, the behavior of the surface states proximate to a superconductor, the properties of a quantum magnetic impurity on the surface of the topological Kondo insulator and etc. The theoretical investigation on the topological Kondo insulator will promote the understanding of the strongly correlated effects on the topological insulators and will
