中文摘要: 本项目以过渡金属氧化物PbTiO3和BiFeO3为研究目标,具体针对高压下PbTiO3和BiFeO3中3d过渡金属离子络合物的局域结构畸变和局域动力学磁性对体系电磁结构的影响这一关键性科学问题展开研究。研究内容包括:高压下PbTiO3和BiFeO3中3d过渡金属离子络合物的电磁结构;在250GPa范围内PbTiO3和BiFeO3的高压结构及相应的相变序列;高压下PbTiO3和BiFeO3的电性、磁性和铁电性能的演化规律。本项目拟采用统一配体场耦合方法和基于粒子群优化算法的第一性原理方法,系统研究高压下PbTiO3和BiFeO3的电磁结构。本项目的研究不仅为探明高压下钙钛矿结构过渡金属氧化物的铁电相变和磁电相互作用的微观机理提供有价值的理论依据,而且还为探寻PbTiO3和BiFeO3在目前实验上未能确定的高压相提供可能的理论参考,这对推动原子分子物理和凝聚态物理的交叉发展具有重要的科学意义。

英文摘要: Transition metal oxides form a fascinating class of compounds with a wide range of technological applications. They are used in catalysis, lasers, and magnetic recording taps, as well as in sensors for very high pressures. The exploration of the physics and chemistry of transition metal oxides under high pressure is of a remarkably interdisciplinary interest. This is reflected in the variety of scientific problems that are the focus of modern high pressure research. The understanding of the interdependence between structural distortions and electronic and magnetic properties is a typical example of a physical problem at high pressure. For a lot of applications and for explanation of several phenomena occurring in the transition metal oxides,the 3d transition metal ion complex in particular, and their behavior are of central significance. The objective of this project is to study the transition metal oxides (PbTiO3 and BiFeO3) under high pressure. It concretely aims at the key scientific problems regarding the effect of the local lattice structure distortion of 3d transition metal ion complex and the local magnetism of 3d transition metal ion on the electromagnetic structure of transition metal oxides under high pressure.
