中文摘要: 借助于人造周期结构对一些新的准粒子的人为调控作为光与物质相互作用领域的新兴方向备受人们关注,如对具有半光、半物质特性的准粒子- - 激子极化激元的相干调控。由于激子极化激元具有很强的非线性和长的相干长度,与之对应的"激子极化激元晶体"也具有独特的性能并能承载许多有趣的宏观量子现象和集体行为,如凝聚、超流、孤波等。然而,至今为止,人们还无法通过简单而有效的方法制备具有明显本质特征的激子极化激元晶体。本项目拟采用具有强激子极化激元效应的ZnO纳米棒为载体,研究此一维系统中激子极化激元受外结构势调制后所呈现的特殊行为。拟利用显微荧光光谱和角分辨光谱系统研究激子极化激元晶体的特殊色散形式和粒子的空间波函数分布;通过改变激发功率、环境温度和周期结构形状,研究体系的受激凝聚,参量散射等非线性行为,以探寻对激子极化激元相干调控的有效手段;结合理论分析,深入理解周期势下激子极化激元相干集体行为的物理本质。

英文摘要: Much attention has been paid to the coherent manipulation of some new quasi-particles by the artificial periodic structures, e.g. the control of the behavior of exciton-polariton, a boson with half-light half-matter nature. The corresponding 'exciton-polariton crystal', has strong nonlinearity and long coherence length to exhibit many collective phenomena, such as condensate, superfluidity, solitons, etc. However, so far, there are few reports about the realization of polaritonic crystal through simple but effective methods with its essential characteristics clearly observed. We will use the ZnO nanorod with strong polariton effect as the sample and study the unique behavior of exciton-polariton modulated by the periodic potential. We will experimentally study the energy dispersion of polaritonic crystal and the spatial distribution of the wave functions by using the spatial resolved and momentum resolved spectroscopic systems. The nonlinear effects such as stimulated condensate, parametric scattering will be carefully studied by changing the excitation power, system temperature and the potential shape to seek for the effective method of manipulating polariton. In combination with the theoretical modeling, the underlying physical nature of the collective behavior will be explored.
