中文摘要: 骨骼的外部形态是鸟类分类、系统发育的重要依据;内部构造与骨骼的力学性能密切相关,对探讨动物的习性及运动方式具有重要意义。本课题拟通过组织学、几何形态测量以及显微CT等技术方方法,对现生鸟类个体发育过程中骨骼的量度、外部形态、组织及三维结构的动态变化进行系统的研究,揭示骨骼内部结构与外部形态在不同发育阶段的特点及两者之间的关系,分析不同发育时期骨骼的力学性能变化。为评估亚成体化石鸟类所处的发育阶段并对其分类问题进行必要的修订提供依据;为古鸟类运动及习性重建,系统发育等研究奠定基础。

英文摘要: External morphological features are very important to the taxonomic and phylogenetic study of birds, especially fossil species. The internal histological and 3D structure correlate with the mechanical properties of bone.In this project,we plan to combine histological, micro-computed tomography, and geometric morphometric methods, to study the ontogenetic changes of the internal and external morphology of avian skeleton.We anticipate to build a ontogenetic framework that describes post-hatching growth in a series of basal living birds;to assess the ontogenetic stages likely present in the known juvenal fossil birds and thus re-evaluate taxonomy and phylogeny; to detect the mechanical properties of skeleton in different growth stages which might be useful for inferring locomotor behavior in fossil birds.
