中文摘要: 地磁亚暴是磁层中一种最基本的能量传输和释放过程,地磁亚暴指数变化机制研究及预报是空间天气学中的重要组成部分。本课题将在前期建立的地磁亚暴指数初级预报模式基础上,根据近20年的地球上游L1点太阳风观测数据、太阳辐射指数F10.7、地磁亚暴指数(AU、AL、AE)和全球160多个地磁台的地磁场观测数据,深入分析地磁亚暴的时空发展过程及其受太阳辐射、太阳风、行星际磁场、地球自转/公转等因素的影响,建立业务化的地磁亚暴指数预报模式。本课题将在以下几个方面进行研究:(1)强地磁扰动期间,地磁亚暴指数发生抑制的特征分析和物理机制研究;(2)太阳辐射强度对地磁亚暴指数变化的影响;(3)太阳风动压对地磁亚暴指数变化的影响;(4)行星际磁场对地磁亚暴的短时间尺度调制;(5)亚暴对太阳风参数的响应延迟分析;(6)根据上述研究结果,建立业务化的地磁亚暴指数预报模式,提高地磁亚暴指数的预报精度和准确性。

英文摘要: Substorm is a brief disturbance in the Earth's magnetosphere that causes energy to be released from the tail of the magnetosphere and injected into the high latitude ionosphere. The mechanism study and forecasting of geomagnetic substorm indices is a very important part of the space weather. This project is proposed to develop an operational forecasting model of geomagnetic substorm indices, using a combination of about 20 years data including upstream solar wind parameters at the L1 point, solar radiation index F10.7, geomagnetic substorm indices AU/AL/AE, and geomagnetic field observations by more than 160 geomagnetic stations worldwide, on the basis of the preliminary forecasting model of AU/AL/AE developed earlier. The main studies include: (1) the characteristics and differences of the suppressions of the AU, AL, and AE indices during major geomagnetic disturbances; (2)the effect of solar radiation on geomagnetic substorms; (3) the effect of solar wind dynamic pressure on substorms; (4) the short timescale modulation of substorms by interplanetary magnetic field; (5) the time delay of the substorms to the upstream solar wind parameters; (6) the development of the operational geomagnetic substorm indices forecasting model based on the above research results.
