中文摘要: 高能物理、天体物理及各种粒子或X射线成像实验日益大型化和复杂化,对核辐射探测技术提出越来越有挑战性的要求,高计数率便是其中一种。近几年国内一些单位开展了核辐射探测信号读出集成电路的研究,但对计数率关注较少。本项目以能量测量型和单光子计数型应用为依托,研究高计数率读出芯片的设计方法,分析提高计数率带来的基线漂移、堆积等问题,并探寻解决或减弱这些问题的方法。在此基础上,设计高计数率能量测量和单光子计数型两种读出芯片及配套的读出逻辑和系统,单通道计数率大于1Mcps(counts per second)。通过芯片研制,除得到一些样片供实验用之外,更可获得高计数率的设计方法,可扩展到时间测量/位置测量等其它核辐射探测应用中,满足先进核辐射探测技术的需求,对于我国粒子物理与核物理、天体物理、同步辐射等实验科学领域进入世界先进水平具有极其重要的意义。

英文摘要: Experiments of high-energy physics, astrophysics, particle or X-ray imaging are getting increasingly large and complicated, putting more and more challenging requirements on nuclear radiation detection techniques. High counting rate is one of them. In recent years, several domestic institutes have been carrying out research on integrated readout circuit for radiation detection, but they seldom focus on counting rate. This project takes energy measurement and single photon counting applications as examples to explore the design methodologies for high counting rate readout circuit. It will also analyze the problems such as base-line shift and pileup which are made severe by the increasing counting rate, and seek the methods to solve or alleviate these problems. Then two types of high counting rate readout chip and the corresponding readout logic and system will be designed. One is for energy measurement and the other is of single photon counting type. The aimed counting rate is larger than 1Mcps per channel. Through this project, not only are some chips ready for laboratory experiments, but also the methods to design high counting rate readout circuit are obtained, which can be used in further researches for time measurement or position sensitive radiation detections.
