中文摘要: 偶素衰变分支比的精确测量和低能区遍举末态截面谱的测量是目前粒子物理实验领域的研究热点之一。实验数据表明已知的主要粲偶素粒子尚有较大部分的衰变方式仍未被被观测到,这对于理解粲偶素的产生和衰变特性是不利的。本项研究将利用BESIII采集的大样本能量扫描数据对粲偶素的单举和遍举衰变过程进行精确测量,通过拟合这些过程的观测截面随质心系能量变化的谱形,得到分支比和干涉相角等重要信息。单举过程的分支比将为寻找可能存在而未被发现的衰变末态提供信息,还将为研究连续区的夸克产生机制提供实验参考;而精确无偏地测定遍举过程分支比可以从另一个角度检验已有的实验结果,最终为理论上研究粲偶素粒子的特性提供实验依据。本项研究中,我们将基于BESIII 实验采集的大统计量扫描样本,利用扫描方法对若干单举和遍举过程的观测截面谱形进行研究,以期获得粲偶素本性及衰变特性方面的更精确信息。

英文摘要: Precise measurement of charmonium decay branching fractions and cross section spectra of exclusive final states at low energy region are hot topics in HEP field. Experimental results show that the decays for most of the well-known charmonium are unsaturated, which will hamper the understanding the charmonium production and decay properties. In this proposal, we will make use of the energy scan data collected with the BESIII detector to precisely measure the observed cross sections for inclusive and exclusive charmonium decays. By fitting to the observed cross section spectra, we can obtain the branching fractions and phase angles of interference between QED and QCD processes. Branching fractions of exclusive process will provide information to search for new decays and to study continuum quark production mechanism. Precise measurement of exclusive final states without bias can not only be used to test the former measurements, but also be used in theoretical studies of charmonium properties. We will experimentally study the inclusive and exclsive decays of charmonium states based on the high statistical energy scan data in this proposal, hoping to obtain more information of the nature of charmonium and its decays.
