中文摘要: 基于石墨烯的光电子器件研究,特别是光学调制器研究,已成为光电子领域新器件研究热点。本项目提出基于石墨烯的电致光吸收效应,采用微结构光纤作为光传输波导,将石墨烯覆盖在侧边抛磨微结构光纤段的新结构设计,研究在光纤上集成的新型光学电光调制器及其关键技术。研究侧边抛磨微结构光纤覆盖石墨烯后的电致光吸收效应的理论模型,理论计算异型光纤横截面结构,获得适应高速调制的微结构光纤参数;研究适合石墨烯覆盖和电极制备的微结构光纤侧边抛磨关键技术,解决此光学调制器的光纤波导问题;研究石墨烯覆盖和电极制备关键技术,解决石墨烯与光场耦合效率问题;研究侧边抛磨微结构光纤覆盖石墨烯产生显著电光效应的新机理,探索新型光学调制器等。此研究在器件结构设计,调制器件的机理研究和实验制备方法上具有创新。此器件关键技术的解决,不仅可推动较小尺寸、高速调制的光学电光调制器的研发,还可为新型光纤集成器件提供关键技术。

英文摘要: Research of graphene-based optoelectronic devices, particularly the optical modulator, has become a hotspot of the new device in photonics field. Based on the electro-absorption effect of graphene, a new structure is put forward that a side-polished microstructured fiber (solid core or hollow core) as an optical waveguide is coved by a graphene. Both the new optical modulator integrated on optical fiber and its key technologies will be studied. The theoretical model of electro-absorption effect in the side-polished micro-structure optical fiber (solid core or hollow core) covered by a graphene will be built. According to the model, the profiled configuration of cross-section of the micro-structured fiber will be calculated and investigated theoretically to obtain these structure parameters which are suited for high-speed modulation. Key technologies of side polishing of micro-structured fiber are studied in order to make an optical fiber waveguide of the optical modulator, which is suited for both graphene coverage and preparation of electrodes. Key technologies of the graphene coverage or the preparation of electrodes are investigated to solve the problem of the coupling efficiency between graphene and light field. A new mechanism of significant electro-optic effect induced in side polished microstructured fiber coved by graphene is studied to build a new optical modulator. Solution of the key technologies of this device will not only promote the construction of optical modulator with both small size and high-speed modulation, but also provide a key technology for the new fiber optic integrated devices.
