中文摘要: 片上异构电源集群可有效解决电源效率差、电压降大、电源噪声大和电源管理复杂等大规模复杂芯片上的电源完整性问题。因电路规模较大,目前的设计方法耗时长且处理能力有限。本项目以包含几百个电压域的片上电源集群作为研究对象,针对其设计复杂度高、消耗计算资源大和应用需求多等问题,采用多目标决策优化和递归迭代等方法进行片上电源集群建模和最优结构构建算法研究。分析片上电源集群的各种拓扑结构,建立电源系统中电源线寄生、电源输出阻抗、去耦电容等效串联电阻等重要参数的数学模型,构建包含多个性能参数的目标函数,探索电源集群逐步扩展建立的算法。项目预期将完成片上异构复杂电源集群的拓扑结构数学建模和提出一种基于多性能参数目标函数的电源集群逐步扩展建立算法。项目研究成果对片上系统、片上网络和多核处理器等大规模复杂芯片的电源管理设计具有重要理论意义和实用价值。项目中提出的算法经移植后,同样适用于时钟分布等其他应用研究领域。

英文摘要: The full on-chip heterogeneous power cluster is a good candidate to solve the power integrity problems in complex chips, such as the low power efficiency, high drop voltage, high power noise, complex power management and so on. Since the circuit scale is large, recent design methodologies spend long running time and their processing ability is limited. This project will focus on the on-chip power cluster composed by a few hundreds of power voltage domains. In order to decrease the design complexity, required computing resource and meet different design requirements, the multi-objective decision and recursive algorithm will be applied in the modeling of power cluster and the optimum structure building algorithm. The topologies of power cluster will be analyzed. Several models will be built, which are related to the power wire parasitic parameters, power supply output impedance and equivalent series resistance of decoupled capacitor. Based on the research results mentioned above, a objective function with multi parameters will be designed. Finally, the optimum structure building algorithm will be researched. A novel design methodology and model of the power cluster will be proposed in this project. The project fruits can also be applied in the clock distribution, which have important impact on the development of large scale and complex chips, such as system on chip, network on chip, multi-core processor and so on. This project can provide the theoretical guidance for the design of the power management.
