中文摘要: 正电子发射计算机断层扫描(PET,Positron Emission Tomography)是核医学领域最高端、最先进、应用范围极广的临床检查影像技术。硅光电倍增管(SiPM)是一种新型高灵敏半导体光探测器,在高能物理及核技术应用等诸多领域许多弱光探测的应用中正逐渐取代传统的光电倍增管(PMT)。近年来采用SiPM替代常规PET中的PMT作为光信号的读出探测器受到研究人员的高度关注。本项目针对当前硅光电倍增管(SiPM)在高性能飞行时间(TOF)PET前沿应用中存在的主要问题开展研究。主要研究内容包括APD微单元的雪崩倍增过程的机理,高性能半导体探测器的关键工艺,SiPM探测器模块的组装,基于SiPM阵列和像素型LYSO闪烁晶体的PET探测器的一致性、温度敏感性、能量分辨率以及时间分辨率特性等。

英文摘要: Positron Emission Tomography(PET),the most advanced nuclear medical imaging technology,has very important and wide applications in clinical diagnose. Silicon Photomultiplier (SiPM) is a novel photodiode with ultra high sensitivity, it is getting to replace photomultiplier (PMT) in various applications of low level light detection in high energy physics and nuclear technology. Recently, SiPM has been attracted much attentions for substituting PMT in PET instrument. This proposal focus investigations on the key problems encounted for SiPM's application in advanced TOF-PET. The research topics include the mechanism of avalenche multiplication for micro APD cells, advanced fabrication technologies for semiconductor detectors and PET detector module, consistency of the breakdown voltage,temperature sensitivity, energy and time resolution of the PET detector based on SiPM array and pixel LYSO crystals.
