Linking Organized Crime and Cybercrime 2018 in Chuncheon, South Korea is dedicated to understanding the way organized criminal groups are using technology to facilitate traditional crime, and conduct new types of crime. The goal of LOCC 2018 is to produce novel insights into the linkages between organized and cyber crime. Organized criminal groups have increasingly adopted technology to commit offences, and new types of crime are also made possible through new technologies. This conference is concerned with the way that organized crime, including trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants, is enabled or supported by technology.

Research papers on the following topics are being sought (with preference given to case studies):
-Organized crime enabled/supported by technology
-Including but not limited to: money laundering, corruption, obstruction of justice, trafficking in drugs as well as participation in an organized criminal group (i.e. how technology enables/facilitates/shapes/changes participation).
-Trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants enabled/supported by technology
-New types of organized crime in cyberspace
-Including but not limited to: wildlife trafficking, trafficking in cultural property, production and sale of falsified medical products and counterfeit goods (such as foodstuff, clothing, electronics, etc.)

As governments seek to remodel and restyle their services, Digital Government is playing an increasingly central role.
