中文摘要: 高效高保真地模拟地震波传播对深入研究地球内部精细结构十分重要。然而现有的地震波模拟算法存在着不同的瑕疵:在非均匀分界面精度不足、粗网格条件下会产生数值频散、长时计算后会发生振幅改变、相位漂移等现象。因此发展具有高精度、低数值频散且能保持真振幅的数值模拟方法不仅是地震学研究领域的基础性问题之一,也是该领域亟待解决的重要问题之一。本项目拟通过研究复杂介质中的地震波传播方程,结合模拟地震波场的近似解析离散化方法、模拟大气海洋环流的平方守恒格式、并匹配以合适的保辛算法以实现时间层推进计算,得到具有高精度、低数值频散,长时计算保持真振幅的地震波场模拟算法,并研究算法在不同集群架构上的并行算法及其并行性质。本项目的完成将对研究地球内部精细结构、理解地震波观测资料细节及地震波反演产生重要的影响;同时也将为研制和使用固体地球物理专用的并行集群提供经验支持,有利于从软硬件两个方面推进地球物理学研究的发展。

英文摘要: Simulating the seismic wave fields effectively and accurately is a key issue for studying the earth interior fine structure. However, there are defects in the most existing seismic wave propagation simulation algorithms, such as the inaccuracy near the heterogeneous fault, serious numerical dispersion for using large spatial step, the amplitude change and phase drift after long temporal step marching. Therefore, to design a seismic wave field numerical simulation method with high precision, high fidelity which can keep the right amplitude is not only a basic and important problem, but also an urgent issue in the seismology. In this project, we will study the seismic wave propagation in complex media, combine nearly analytical discrete method for the seismic wave field simulation, the square conservation scheme for the air and ocean circulation simulation, select a right symplectic method to update the temporal variable, propose a new seismic wave field simulation algorithm with high precision, high fidelity and keep the right amplitude after long time calculation. Based on our new algorithm, we will study our scheme in parallel version and capture the parallel characteristics in different parallel architectures,such as CPU, CPU+GPU and FPGAs.
