中文摘要: 金属氢化物电极真空弧离子源可用于真空密封型中子发生器产生氘离子,离子的成分和电荷态分布是中子发生器离子源的关键物理问题之一。但是一直以来,对这种特殊电极真空弧离子源的离子成分和电荷态分布缺乏深入系统的研究,尤其对氘离子的比例缺乏准确的定量研究数据。本项目将通过以实验为主、理论计算为辅的方法来开展研究。首先通过建立局域热平衡模型对阴极斑附近的等离子体进行描述,用沙哈方程对TiD2电极放电阴极斑附近的离子电荷态分布进行理论预测;然后采用自主研制、经过针对性设计的飞行时间质量分析器对离子源进行离子成分和电荷态分布检测的实验研究,重点研究它们的时间演化和空间分布以及各种因素如放电模式、释放气体等的影响,揭示物理规律。此外,采用等离子体光谱诊断获得真空弧放电点电子温度数据,建立电子温度与离子成分和电荷态分布的关系。本课题的研究对于长寿命、高可靠性、小型化中子发生器的设计具有重要指导意义。

英文摘要: The vacuum arc ion source with metallic hydride electrode can be used for vacuum-sealed-type neutron generator producing deuterium ions, ion species and charge state distribution(CSD) is one of key physical problems for the ion source of neutron generator. But, up to know, the deep and systemic investigation for the ion source with this special electrode is poor, especially the exact data for the fraction of deuterium ions are still lacking. The project will employ experimental method and assistant theory calculation to do the research. Firstly, a local thermal equilibrium model that can describes the plasma near the cathode spot will be built, Saha equations are used to theoretically predict the ion CSD of TiD2 electrode discharging near the cathode spot. Secondly, a home-made and specially designed time-of-flight mass spectrograph is employed to investigate the ion compositions and CSD, and their temporal evolution and spacial distribution as well as their influence factors such as discharge modes, releasing gas are the main research points. Besides, in order to build the relation between electron temperature and ion CSD, a spectroscopy will be adopted to diagnose the plasma electron temperature near the cathode spot.The study is important for the design of long-lifetime high-reliability and compact neutron generator.
