中文摘要: 空化现象普遍出现在以液体为介质的流体运动中。尽管研究人员已做了许多努力,但至今空化领域依然存在一些急待解决的问题。空泡群溃灭是空化过程中的重要基础问题,但是这一复杂过程由于涉及到从细观到宏观的多层次动力学问题,目前对其机理仍缺乏充分的理解。本项目拟从细观动力学角度出发,通过界面捕捉方法数值模拟三维可变形空泡的溃灭过程,研究在泡-泡耦合作用下空泡形态演化、压力波产生及压力波传播规律,揭示空间参数和环境参数变化对泡群溃灭速率的影响关系,进而为完善现有宏观空化模型提供理论支持。

英文摘要: Cavitation can be often observed in liquid dynamics. Despite many efforts by cavitation investigators, there still remain some problems to be resolved in this field. The collapse of cavitation bubbles is one of important fundamental problems in cavitation process, but is still far from full understanding due to the complex multi-scale dynamics, ranging from the mesoscopic scale to the macroscopic level. This project will start with a perspective of mesoscopic dynamics, focusing on the following studies: the development of the interface-capturing numerical method for simulating the collapse of 3D deformable bubbles; the effect of bubble-bubble interactions on the evolution of bubble shapes, pressure wave generation and propagation; the relationships between the collapse rate of bubble clusters and several important parameters, such as the spatial distribution of bubbles and the parameters of surrounding fluid. These relationships will be much helpful in terms of improving the macro-level cavitation models.
