中文摘要: 本项目将研究、分析并设计一系列具有输入阻抗可控特性的宽频带小型圆极化螺旋天线。首先,不同于传统的金属线螺旋天线,我们将采用具有一定宽度的金属片代来制作小尺寸的螺旋天线。这种金属片状的螺旋底部与填充介质和接地板可构成一个类似微带线的模型,通过调整金属片的宽度可以有效控制小型螺旋天线的输入阻抗,从而让小型螺旋天线能适用于不同特征阻抗的激励源。然后,我们将首次研究片状螺旋与金属微带贴片相结合的工作模式,分析在金属片状螺旋的开口端顶部以电磁耦合的方式加载一个金属贴片的天线模型。一方面,加载的金属贴片有利于减小小型螺旋上的反射表面电流;另一方面,通过合理的设计,在金属贴片上也可激励出圆极化谐振波。因此,这种方法可以大幅的改善小型螺旋天线的圆极化工作带宽。综合来看,本项目将在螺旋天线输入阻抗可控性、小型化和工作带宽的宽频化三个方面找出一些通用的方法和理论,以丰富小型螺旋天线在现代无线通信系统上的应用。

英文摘要: In this project, a series of wideband small helical antenna with controllable input impedance for circular polarization will be studied, analyzed and designed. Firstly, differing from the conventional wire helical antennas,the small helical antennas are made of metallic strip with uniform width. The metallic strip together with the substrate and ground plane works as microstrip-line mode, such that the input impedance of the small helical antennas can be controlled by the width of the metallic strip and this type of small helical antennas are suitable for feeder with different characteristic impedance. Then, a new kind of antenna structure, a helix electromangetic coupling with a metallic patch, will be proposed and analyzed. The coupling metallic patch can reduce the reflective surface current along the helix. On the other hand, an electromagnetic wave for circular polarization at certain frequency can be excited on the metallic patch. So the proposed method can enhance the bandwidth for circular polarization greatly. In a word, this project, which is focus on controllable input impedance, compact size and wideband bandwidth of the helical antenna, will increase the application of small helical antenna in morden wireless communication systems.
