中文摘要: 过渡族金属氧化物界面由于电荷、自旋、轨道和晶格自由度重构而呈现出一系列丰富和新奇的物理现象。其中最引人注目的是在极性/非极性钙钛矿绝缘体界面发现的二维电子态。目前该类界面中许多基本的物理问题如二维电子态的起源、磁性、超导和自旋-轨道耦合等还不完全清楚。强磁场是研究界面二维电子态的一种有力手段。中科院强磁场科学中心的稳态强磁场实验装置为申请者开展相关工作提供了很好的平台和契机。本申请项目依托稳态强磁场电输运测量系统,拟选取LaVO3/SrTiO3界面二维电子态为研究对象,通过低温强磁场下的电学性质(Shubnikov-de Haas振荡、磁电阻和霍尔效应)来研究其中与电荷、自旋和轨道相关的量子现象。 本项目的研究将为深入理解过渡族金属氧化物界面二维电子态积累相关的实验数据。

英文摘要: Heterointerfaces formed from transition metal oxides (TMO) exhibit a series of rich and exotic physical phenomena due to the reconstruction of the charge, spin, orbital and lattice degrees of freedom across the interfaces. One of the most intriguing discoveries is the nontrivial two-dimensional electronic state (2DES) at the interface between polar and non-polar insulating perovskites. Now there are some basic physical issues are not clear in these interfaces, for example, the origin of the 2DES, magnetism, superconductivity and spin-orbital coupling. The high magnetic field is a useful tool to study the 2DES. The Steady High Magnet Field Facility (SHMFF) in the high magnetic field lab, Chinese Academy of Science provides a good platform and opportunity for the applicants to carry out the related work. This project utilizes the transport measurement system of SHMFF to investigate the 2DES at LaVO3/SrTiO3 interfaces. We plan to study the charge, spin, and orbital-related quantum phenomena of the 2DES at the LaVO3/SrTiO3 interfaces through their electrical properties (Shubnikov-de Haas oscillation, magnetoresistance, and Hall effect) at low temperatures and under high magnetic fields. This project can provide the accumulation of experimental data for the deeper understanding of 2DES at the TMO interfaces.
